Shame about the fence

Another shot from last weekend. I had a look at cloning the fence out and whilst it made the picture look a little better in terms of placement it didn't really work as I knew it was a bit of a cheat.

I quite like this jaguar shot, it's better than the one I posted up earlier in the week. I nearly had an absolute stunner - jaguar head on, walking towards me, head down but the AF grabbed the blade of long grass immediately in front of the cat :(

I like this shot - we haven't got a full animal portrait but I think it works. You can almost imagine it not being in a zoo too. Almost.

We visited Chester Zoo today for the first time in probably two years. It was great. The jaguars even came out to say hi!

I did some photography for work at the Frog conference last week. I really like this shot - it's not a great shot technically but for me it captured an interactive part of the conference with people asking questions.

Bit of a radical departure from what I usually post but since its been over 3 months since the last submission, I think we're okay :p

The same Red Squirrel, this time taking advantage of the free food on offer. I know it's not straight, if I try to correct the angle of the bird feeder I lose some of the squirrel tail :-(

This is the first of a few shots I'll be posting up over the next week or so. Here we have one of the few red squirrels that we saw whilst wandering around Centerparcs last week. There was a rangers station set up with food that allowed easy access to these lovely creatures and the 100-400 was more than capable of capturing them in all their glory.

I've always liked this erm, thing in Bridlington. It's a giant caddy/winch thing that they use to lower and raise boats in and out of the harbour.

It was made in Bradford - something I discovered on closer inspection a few years ago, which made it even more interesting.

Wow - an update!

Taken at Filey a month or so ago, the wonderful beach that they have down there as the tide was approaching it's lowest of the day. Shame about the highlights in the sky, theres just something about this photo that I like :)

I took this photo with the sole intention of it being a nice desktop background shot. I just love the variation in shapes and colours.
