Sue has asked me what I want for my birthday, she’s moaning about not having enough time or money to get me anything.

I’ve gone back to my Xmas list and crossed off either what I got for Christmas or what I’ve bought for myself since then anyway.

 Xbox 360 Games/Accessories

Star Wars : The Force Unleashed (If you can pick it up cheap – by cheap I mean £20 or less)
Rock Band 2 (Game only)
Guitar Hero World Tour (maybe)
Call of Duty : World at War
Microsoft Xbox Live Ponts (2100 or 4200 points cards)

PS3 Games/Accessories

Little Big Planet
At least one Dual Shock 3 PS3 pad

Books

Harry Hills Whopping Great Joke Book
Dilbert 2.0: 20 Years of Dilbert (Hardcover)
This Is the Part Where You Pretend to Add Value: A Dilbert Book
Cubes and Punishment: A Dilbert Book

Blu Ray

The Matrix Complete Collection
The Godfather Complete Collection
Batman (released 22/12)
Batman Returns (released 22/12)

Iron Man

DVDS

Thundercats Season 2 – parts 1 and 2 (£9.99 a piece from amazon)

Random non-categorised stuff

Gift Vouchers — Amazon preferred,
Mathmos Lava Lamp
A Jigsaw table top foldy thing – so I can do Jigsaws and then fold them away mid way through
Lego
Something creative

Hmmm, there’s not much left there to go on.  Sorry Sue.

Amazon and Firebox vouchers are always good though.

I can’t think of anything that I want or need.  Which is unusual for me.  I don’t know.

I think you should write about me

My cousin, Laura just found out about my website.  I was chatting to her on Facebook and she said I should write something about her.

So here we go:

She’s pretty smart (not smart enough to google for my name to find my website however :p) and really nice.

**edit** she’s doing a doctorate and is going to be a clinical psychologist.  I guess thats fairly smart.

One of the many people in my family who I wish I knew better and had spent more time with whilst growing up.  The only time we ever got to see each other was when we met up at my Grandma’s for Christmas dinner on Boxing day.  That got hit on the head a fair few years ago when there were too many of us.  Shame because its something that I really used to enjoy.

I managed to catch up with Laura at my sister’s 21st birthday party a few months ago, it was great and we were chatting for hours.  Makes you realise that you should talk to people more often.

I guess thats the way things go, people grow up and grow apart, only really see most of the family at either big birthday parties or funerals.  The latter is becoming all too common, another bad thing about growing up.

Less time for friends and family, work takes up so much of your time and you have to squeeze other things in when you can over the weekends and stuff.

I should organise a family get together.  Something happy.  That could work.

Random post, over.

That pretty much sums up the last 4-5 days for me.  I’ve been pretty much zombified on and off since Friday.

Not quite sure what it was, started on Friday at work with me just feeling completely out of it.  A walk into town made me feel a little better but still not great.  Saturday morning I had full on cold symptoms, took some day nurse capsules and it never came back – thats bizarre.

Sunday wasn’t too bad for most of the day, I felt a little woozy but nothing major.

Monday morning I woke up and felt completely out of it, worse than Friday, Steve picked me up and as soon as I got in his car I knew I should have stayed at home in bed, the forward motion was just tripping me out completely.  I ended up getting sent home from work, caught the bus home and just pretty much sat on the couch all day.  Same thing Tuesday.

Was back at work today as I felt marginally better, still zoned out but at least theres some colour in my cheeks.  Felt much better after a walk into town, concentration levels and mindset seemed to get better and better as the day went on.  Hopefully a good night’s sleep tonight should mean I wake up in the morning feeling spot on.  We’ll see ;)

Couple of decent developments on the games side of things today (not like I’ve felt like playing anything recently).  Bioware and Lucasarts have FINALLY announced “The Old Republic”.  New Star Wars MMO.  Superb.

Also, LIPS – the Xbox 360 karaoke game has been given a proper release date.  It was slated for December 26th, its now been brought forward to 1st Dec.  I love a good sing.  Hopefully the DLC will beat Singstar to the ground in a bloody pulp.  Which reminds me, when I get paid, I need to get some more XBL points cards so I can get Nevermind for Rockband.  Awesome.

Sue’s birthday on Friday, we’re going out for a curry to the Inn-Dian, can’t wait.  Hope she has a really good day.  I keep thinking about booking the day off but I might save it and take her away for the weekend sometime in November.  That’d be nice.  Another long weekend away somewhere like Whitby.  It would give us another chance to get out with the cameras too.  Speaking of which – have you checked my photoblog recently? :-p
