So, 8 years after 24 predicted it, the USA has a black president.  Who says TV can’t influence real life?

I’m really pleased Obama won the election, I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do when he takes up office in January.  Should be a good change for the American people, I wonder if he’ll make pulling the troops out of Iraq a priority.  It’ll also be interesting to see how his international policies differ from Bush’s.

Sad news tonight, Michael Crichton, author of Jurassic Park and many other litererary masterpieces has passed away after a battle with cancer.  I remember reading the book after watching the film and enjoying it immensly

I hate cancer, if theres one thing I really wish we could eradicate from the planet it would be cancer.  It’s taken more than one family member from me and I don’t doubt there will be more.

Anyway, on to brighter and lighter subjects – my goatee, its getting quite long.  Its amazing how much growth there has been in a week and a half.  I think my original beard attempt a few months ago has helped with the hair strength.  By letting it grow out a bit and then shaving it, the stubble seemed to grow more evenly.

If it keeps up and I like the look, I might have to invest in one of those babyliss I-trim stubble trimmer thingies.

Just finished my wkd blue and realised it says on the label “contains caffeine”.  Thats not a good idea at ten to ten is it?

…But someone did.

The numbers in Saturday’s rollover Lotto main draw were 20, 21, 23, 24, 27 and 28. The bonus number was 33.

What the fuck?

Someone needs to examine the machine and the balls used.  Has that ever happened before?  All the numbers being in the 20s?

Weird.

*edit*

Its not like it was just one person.

11 People had those numbers.

11 people!??!!?!?!?!?!?!

Why on earth would you pick a numberset like that (I mean obviously, its worked but thats beside the point).  Its stupid ;(  Stupid lottery.
