Weigh in – 28/02/09 – 2lb loss (week 8)

Pretty good week this week, I used the majority of my points up for most days.  I had a Dominos last night, which was lovely.  That chicken feast one they do with chicken, mushroom and sweetcorn at 2.5 points per slice is to die for.  A full medium pizza is only 19 points.  Absolute bargain.  Its just a point or two more than a Double Whopper XL with Cheese :p

I recoreded my weight on the WW website and they gave me another star.

That’s an additional 7lb lost (8 actually), so I’ve lost over 1.5st since starting 8 weeks ago.  I think that’s pretty good.

I’m 2lb away from my lowest recorded weight in over 3 years.  That will be a pretty big milestone for me.  I’m not going to be pointing next week as I’m away in Centerparcs.  I won’t be going crazy but I think I will be eating an easter egg on my birthday.  Just cos.  I like chocolate :(

I’m hoping the amount of cycling, walking, swimming and bowling we’ll be doing next week will counteract anything I eat and hopefully I’ll see a 2lb+ loss.  If I stay the same I’ll be happy with that too.  Everyone needs a holiday.

Very happy with my progress, t-shirts are fitting better, I’m healthier, fitter and I can’t half belt out a decent tune on singstar again.  Sustain notes = easy :-P

Had fillet steak for tea, it was yummy.  Dominos for tea tomorrow so I have to make sure I save plenty of points, I have a total of 20 saved this week with another 4ish from going for a walk at lunchtime tomorrow so in effect I have enough saved points to get the dominos for free \o/

If only it was free in terms of money.

Was that busy at work this morning I didn’t get chance to eat a cereal bar until immediately before my sandwiches. 

Not had the best of days, all I wanted to do when I got home was eat chocolate and ice cream, something fairly comforting.  Gone over by maybe one point today, although to be fair I overpointed the flapjack that Carl brought in.  Hopefully things will pick up as the week goes on.

Went to Nandos for lunch today (finally). 

It’s absolutely amazing, I love it.  I had the chicken burger with medium peri-peri sauce.  The chips I had with peri-peri salt.  Delicious.

Bit late posting this one, I put it down to being up until 6am and then going to bed. 

Used too many points – had a mars bar and some penguins and a kit kat (and a shortbread finger) to keep me going through the night and decided to record them on saturday’s point chart rather than Sunday’s. I’ve written in 60 minutes worth of slow walking as exercise points, considering we were either stood or walking for most of the night this is fairly conservative.

Weigh in – 21/02/09 – Another 3lb goes bye bye (week 7)

Another successful week. 

Walking around town at lunchtimes from work is probably the best thing I’ve ever done for myself.  Each day I’m pushing myself to walk “that bit faster” or “that bit further”.  It’s not going to be too much longer until I need to start jogging to get my breathing rate/heart rate up.  I might even try some jogging when we’re in Centerparcs, that would be fun, plenty of tracks round there to do that too. 

Had quite a bit of fish this week, cod, haddock and haddock fish fingers (yes that counts as fish), also had a party with snacks which was nice – haven’t done that for a while.  Whether or not that’ll have a negative effect on my loss for next week we’ll see.  I know the following week will be just fine though. 

It’s funny because I can’t eat food now without pointing it.  I even had to put the snacks down I ate last night, so that I was accountable for them.  It’s starting to verge on OCD.  I think it’s because I subconciously know that I must succeed, I will succeed and I can’t afford to slip. 

Making extremely good progress, if we keep up the current loss, I’ll be looking at another stone loss before too long.  I’ve had to readjust my points allowance again today because I’ve now slipped below 22st.  Points allowance is now 36 per day.

It’s funny because my fitness levels have increased so much it’s scary, to the point I got a round of applause from everyone when we were playing Rock Band last night and I managed to hammer nearly every single sustain note in Boston’s “More than a Feeling”, just that last one I need to practice with ;-)

It made me remember just how much I love singing, be it on Rock Band, Guitar Hero World tour or in Singstar.  I love it, and getting the fitness levels back is giving me extra lung capacity to belt them out.  Bring on the Singstar party at my mum and dads on the 28th I say :D
