Charlie the Chimp mk II

Heres another chimp (could be one of the ones I caught last week to be honest), I quite like this picture and think it has a sufficient blur around the main subject.

  • Aperture: ƒ/5.6
  • Camera: Canon EOS 350D DIGITAL
  • Taken: 30 July, 2006
  • Focal length: 300mm
  • ISO: 400
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s

  1. Nice DOF, can\'t help think that the chimp is a bit soft though. As you can see the tree to the left of the chimp looks sharper. I would recommend, setting the AF Focus points, to just the central one. Nicely composed by the way 🙂

  2. Hi mate. Not bad, drop the aperture to get better bokeh or depth of field between the monkey and the back drop. Loose the right and then centre the shot, it would help, but a good start.

  3. Dan has a point about the focus setup. Nice reflective shot though…reminds me of me – i.e. generally looking in the middle distance :p
