Pint Sized

I didn\’t spot this shot the first time I looked through what I\’d captured. Now that I\’ve looked at it again I\’ve decided that I quite like the way you can see one of the adult elephants in the shot but the focus is purely on the baby. Its quite astonishing to think about how small these guys start out (much smaller than he is here) and how big it will become.

Not like Giraffes that are 6ft tall when they are born (and to think women complain about pushing a melon through a hole the size of a lemon! – think of the poor mummy giraffes!).

Cropped slightly on the left hand side to remove part of a rock that I\’d gotten in shot, adjusted levels, curves, boosted saturation a touch and run a high pass sharpen.
