What are you giraffing at?

Oh dear,

I just thought that title up as I was writing it, sorry, bad pun, won’t do it again.

Pretty soon I think I’m going to have enough animal-sticking-their-tongue out at me shots to have their own little gallery. Quite happy with this shot, it might have been slightly better composed and had more of the giraffe\’s head in the shot but I think it works well as it is. I guess he’s not really sticking his tongue out at me, this one is more licking his lips. He probably saw moomike and thought he\’d make a tasty meal. I quite like the way the hairs are on his chin too, never realised that giraffes had chin hair.

In terms of PPing, adjusted levels and curves, boosted contrast (thanks moomike) and lowered brightnes ever so slightly. Dodged a bit of the eye as it looked like there was nothing in there at all (underexposed) and ran through a high pass sharpen.
