They called it a mine

This is the unexploded (and hopefully since disarmed) mine that is on display near the harbour in Bridlington. What you see in the middle is a coin slot for donations to something….I can\’t quite remember what it was donations for. Anyway – the funny thing that my dad and I were trying to work out is how the hell do they get the money out? Although there are bolts surrounding the coin slot contraption the thing hasn\’t been opened in decades – at least not through there.

I have to admit to photoshopping this one a little to remove some people from either side of the mine. They were ruining my shot! I think the black and white suits this to a tee. It didn\’t look right in red.

This is the last shot I\’ve got to upload, hopefully I\’ll have shot some more material in the mean time and there will be another post tomorrow 😉
